Hindi International Packages - Hindi Star Plus & Zee TV

Starting out as an English language channel, Star Plus was launched in February of 1992. The channel soon converted to Hindi Star Plus, and in 2000, hit the top of the charts with soaps like Bhi Kabhi, Ghar Ghar Ki, and Zindagii Kay. In 2010 the channel modernized, coming out with a new logo and a new theme, “Rishta Wahi Soch Nayi," but the channel continues to concentrate mainly on telefilms and family entertainment.

DISH is proud to add Zee TV to this package. In April of 2010, Zee TV began to fill in the gaps of popular television shows to South Asian families living in the United States. It was their goal to be both sensitive to the culture and innovative at the same time. This was accomplished with shows like Dance India Dance, Keshav Pandit, and a series of new soap operas. While these shows are innovative, they still maintain the strong traditional value of families everywhere.

It is obvious that the success of Zee TV is the result of a true understanding of the beliefs and culture of South Asians. For the last eleven years they have led the market, always evolving to meet the needs of their viewers. Having these two channels together will provide viewers with endless amounts of entertainment, not found anywhere else.
