ABC’s “Wife Swap” has been an instant hit as we’ve watched husbands freak out and children rebel against “guest” wives/mothers invading their homes with personalities and rules opposite of the one they’re used to. This season, ABC has taken the concept a step further in introducing, “Celebrity Wife Swap” where well known celebrity wives and moms leave the comfort of their own homes and enter unknown territory in vastly different homes of other celebrity women.

The first episode of “Celebrity Wife Swap” saw actress Tracey Gold who is abnormally organized and has a daily schedule and outfit planned for each of her four boys switch places with singer Carnie Wilson who lives a more carefree, spontaneous life with little structure.

Celebrity Wife Swap has several more interesting couplings in the mix concerning the family of Gary Bussey and popular rapper and and TV personality Flava Flav among others. Watching the show makes us wonder what kinds of wife swap combinations we’d come up with if we had our choice. Think of the drama!

Gwyneth Paltrow with her A list ways and her pride in all things luxury and classy swapping places with the likes of Heidi Montag, a D list wanna-be and her lunatic of a husband in their shameless reality television world. It’s almost too hard to picture, Gwyneth entering the home of Spencer Pratt, rooms likely donned with magical crystals and pictures of the many US Weekly covers likely framed and covering the walls while Heidi tackles the world of true celebrity and a household where a husband is actually respected amongst true fans.

Just thinking of the quirky and unpredictable Melanie Griffith bombarding the mysterious and serious life of Tom Cruise and his household to help dress and play with little Suri Cruise is a humorous scenario to consider. We wonder how Katie Holmes would handle the charming Antonio and if being in his presence would help draw her out of her shell. Tom Cruise barely seems to let Katie out of his sight as it is, so we won’t hold our breath for this set up.
